I wasn't able to do any Insanity today. I was just going to do the fit test, but had to be up earlier than normal to help move some things. So, I guess, you can sort of say I got a work out, right?
Anyways, I am probably going to take a few days off from working out to let my body catch up on me. I know, I know, I shouldn't, but I need to. I am just completely exhausted. I am hoping to get back to Insanity come Wednesday. Once I am done with Insanity for this month, I plan on starting back over with the month one stuff. Maybe I will gain a work out partner by then!.

Ella's Run 5k
So today I participated in Right to Hike's Ella's Run 5k. I ran in this race last year and even though I had fun, I knew what to expect...... HILLS! Not just your normal hills. I would go up a hill and turn around and go up an even longer hill. LOL! Oh, and some of it was a trail too. I really think that slows you down especially when you start off on pavement and then go to gravel/dirt and then back to pavement. Or maybe I am just a picky runner. Anyways, I don't have my official time yet, but my Nike + app said I finished around 29 min. This is about the same time that I finished last year.
Like all my other races I stayed and waited on the awards. It came to my age group and I was already thinking that I hadn't placed. I know I have such confidence in myself.
My age group 25 to 29 was called....
Third place person was named..
Then came the second place person...
Which happened to be ME!! OMG, I actually placed in a race! I mean, I know this race wasn't as big as some of the other races that I normally do, but still. I am still in shock that I placed.
I have 2 weeks to get ready for my Run Like Hell 5k in Oakland Cemetery. I hope I do well in this race as well. I know this one will be a tad bigger so I will have to run super fast. :)

Day 44 of Insanity (Week 7 Completed)
Took it easy today. Tomorrow morning is my first 5k since I started Insanity. I am excited but also nervous. I really don't like running on this course, but hoping that Insanity helped strengthen my legs to take on the hills.
I will post something tomorrow about how I did. Wish me luck!

Day 43 of Insanity
My toe gave me a little bit of a problem today during Max Cardio Conditioning. I sort of took it easy. I really didn't want to cause any more aggravation.
Tomorrow is my no work out day and rest up before my race.

Day 42 of Insanity
Well, my recovery day didn't go as planned. I ended up hurting my big toe on my right foot and since I have a race this weekend I felt like I needed to stay off of it, and hope that it doesn't give me any problems.
Tomorrow I am going to Max Cardio Conditioning and Cardio Abs. It will be my last work out of the week since I never do any sort of work out the day before a race.

Day 41 of Insanity
So today was Max Interval Plyo. I got a slow start to it this morning, but I got up and pushed play. I feel great knowing that I completed it. Of course I am like that with every work out.
Tomorrow is a much needed recovery day.
I am almost done with week 7 of Insanity. Like I mentioned in previous entries last week, I am not going to be able to do my work on Friday. I have a 5k run on Saturday. I normally don't do any sort of exercise the day before a race to give my body time to recover.
Speaking of the 5k, this will be my first time doing a race without necessarily training for. I am interested to see how much Insanity has in fact help tone up my legs. I can definitely see the definition, but are they actually stronger? We shall see on Saturday at 9 AM. I will be sure to post an update sometime on Saturday.

Day 40 of Insanity
I just have to say I have Max Interval Circuit. I feel like crap all the way through it. I just have to keep pushing. No one ever said that the second month was going to be easy...cause it isn't.
Tomorrow is Max Interval Plyo. I am not looking forward it, but I would prefer it over Circuit any day of the week. LOL
